Sync an external ban source

You can have a ban list pull its entries from an outside source — BattleMetrics, the Community Ban List (CBL), or a Remote Ban File — instead of maintaining every entry by hand. You attach a connector to a ban list on the Roster page, then sync it in.

There’s no separate “Ban Lists” page and no subscribe step. A synced ban list is a normal roster list of kind Ban list; the connector just fills it.

  1. Open Roster.
  2. Create a new list (or edit an existing one) and set its Kind to Ban list.
  3. Turn on Sync this list from an external source.
  4. Open the Sync source picker and choose a connector:
    • BattleMetrics — enter your BM organization ID and an API token.
    • Community Ban List — enter your CBL organisation ID.
    • Remote Ban File — enter the Ban list URL (a plain-text file, one identifier per line).
  5. Save the list.

Only a Ban list can carry a sync source — the option doesn’t appear on Access or Tag lists.

heliana doesn’t sync on a fixed schedule — you pull the source when you want it refreshed.

  1. On Roster, find the ban list.
  2. Click Sync now on its row.

heliana queues the sync and confirms with a notification. The imported bans then match against connecting players wherever that list is enforced.
